Align With Amie
FAITH
Faith Is The Foundation
Faith isn't something I added to my work. It's where the work begins.
Align with Amie is rooted in my faith in God. My understanding of the body, movement, awareness, and neuromuscular function comes from years of professional study and experience.
But the way I understand the purpose of this work comes from something deeper.
I believe the body is something God entrusted to us—not something we were meant to spend our lives fighting, fearing, or ignoring.
My faith has changed the way I think about awareness. It has changed the way I listen.
And it has changed the way I understand what it means to care for the body God gave me.
That's why faith isn't an add-on to Align with Amie. It is the foundation.
Reconnect with the body God gave you.
Your Body Is A Temple
Your body is not something to be ashamed of, controlled, or constantly fixed.
"Do you know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit..."
- 1 Corinthians 6:19
That changes the way I think about the body. If my body has been entrusted to me by God, then caring for it isn't chasing perfection. It isn't. about punishing it into submission. And it isn't about becoming obsessed with everything that feels wrong.
It's about stewardship. It's about learning to pay attention. It's about becoming aware of what my body is communicating and responding with intention instead of continually ignoring the signals. This is one of the reasons I believe body awareness matters so much.
The goal isn't to worship the body. The goal is to steward it well.
And for me, learning to reconnect with my body has become part of learning what it means to care for what God has entrusted to me.
Where Your Mind Is Directed Matters
"The mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace."
- Romans 8:6
Scripture speaks about what we set our minds and what governs our thoughts and mind.
For me that created a deeper question:
What am I paying attention to? What am I allowing to direct me? And am I willing to slow down enough to listen?
Neuromuscular work has taught me to become more aware of what is happening within my spiritual life. I don't see these as competing things. I see them as invitations to become more present: to pay attention, to listen, and to respond with intention rather than simply moving through life on autopilot.
The body can give us information. Awareness gives us the opportunity to notice it.
And my faith reminds me that how I respond matters. For me, reconnection isn't only about learning to move differently.
It's also about learning to live more intentionally before God.
Listening Has Become Part of My Walk With God
The more I learned to listen to my body, the more I began to think differently about what it means to listen in my faith.
For a long time, I was used to moving quickly. Doing more. Pushing through. Figuring things out.
And I didn't always stop to ask what was happening within me or where God was.
Learning to become aware of my body gave me a different kind of practice. I had to slow down. Pay attention. Become curious. Notice what I had been overlooking.
And eventually, I began to recognize how much that posture of listening mattered beyond movement. My relationship with God isn't about having every answer. It's about becoming willing to listen, to surrender, and to follow Him.
That doesn't mean every sensation or feeling is a message from God. It means I've learned not to automatically dismiss what I'm experiencing.
I can slow down. I can become aware. I can bring what I'm noticing to God. And I can choose how to respond.
Not just listening to my body.
But becoming a woman who is willing to listen.
Where Faith And The Body Meet
Faith shapes why I do this. Neuromuscular coaching shapes how I do it.
My faith and my professional work don't have to compete with each other. They each speak to a different part of the work.
My professional training has taught me how to study movement: to understand muscles, coordination, biomechanics, nervous system responses, and the patterns the body can learn over time.
My faith shapes how I approach that knowledge. With humility. With stewardship. With curiosity. And with the belief that the woman in front of me is more than a body to assess or a problem to solve.
That's why the 12-Reconnect Method begins with awareness.
We slow down enough to notice. We become curious about what the body has learned. We explore the movement with intention. We practice new options. And we build the capacity to carry that awareness into everyday life.
Faith is the foundation. Neuromuscular coaching is the method. Reconnection is the process.
Together, they shape the way I coach.
Reconnection Starts With Listening
What if caring for your body could become part of how you learn to care for yourself?
You don't have to have everything figured out. You don't have to understand every signal your body is giving you. And you don't have to become perfect at listening.
You can simply begin. Begin noticing. Begin becoming curious. Begin learning how your body moves and what it has learned. Begin practicing a different way of responding.
And through it all, continue growing in your relationship with God.
That's what Align With Amie means to me.
Not separating the physical from the spiritual. Not treating your body like a problem to solve. But learning to steward the body God gave you with greater awareness, intention, and care.
Your body isn't broken. It has learned.
And you can begin learning how to listen. Reconnect with the body God gave you.
